How to allocate your 5×1000 to Innovation Bridge
It costs you nothing extra. The 5×1000 (Italian income-tax allocation to nonprofits) is a share of your tax that the State redistributes: if you name no beneficiary, that money stays with the State. Choosing where it goes takes seconds.
A share of your taxes — and you choose where it goes
The 5×1000 is a share of IRPEF (Italian income tax) that the State allocates every year to Third Sector entities, scientific research and other beneficiaries. It doesn't add to what you pay: it's already included in your taxes. If you make no choice, that share goes to the State. With one signature on your tax return, plus our tax ID, you can direct it to the Innovation Bridge Foundation.
- It's not an extra donation
- It doesn't reduce your IRPEF refund
- It requires no additional payment
- All it takes is a signature and a tax ID
- You can do it every year
Three steps, five minutes
Open the section 'Scelta per la destinazione del 5×1000' (choice for allocating your 5×1000)
You'll find it in your Italian tax return form. Whether it's the 730, the Modello Redditi PF or the Certificazione Unica (CU), the box always has the same name.
Sign the box 'Enti del Terzo Settore' (Third Sector entities)
Find the box dedicated to supporting volunteering, social-purpose nonprofits and Third Sector entities, and sign it. Innovation Bridge Foundation is registered as an ETS (Third Sector Entity) with RUNTS (Italian National Register of Third Sector Entities): this is the correct box.
Enter the Foundation's tax ID
In the space next to your signature (or in the field 'Codice fiscale del beneficiario' — beneficiary tax ID), enter our tax ID (codice fiscale). If you file through a CAF (Italian tax-assistance center) or an accountant, just give them this code: they will enter it for you.
Everything you want to know
No. If you already file a 730 or Modello Redditi, the 5×1000 choice is already part of it. If you're exempt from filing (for example, you only have employment income with a CU), you can still make your choice through your Certificazione Unica or by filing a simplified return.
Yes — they are completely separate allocations. The 8×1000 goes to religious denominations and the State; the 5×1000 goes to nonprofits. You can sign both, and neither affects the other.
The process is slow: funds from returns filed in 2026 will arrive around 2027–2028. The State processes the data and transfers the money with a delay of roughly 18–24 months.
It directly funds the Foundation's programs: scholarships for students joining our international delegations, mentorship for young Italians, and free access to our public keynotes for people who couldn't otherwise attend. Our financial statements are published on this site.
Yes. The choice is annual and non-binding: you can name a different beneficiary each tax year.
Your 5×1000 share is split proportionally among the beneficiaries who received signatures that year or, in some cases, kept by the State. Signing costs you nothing — and changes everything.
