Foundation · Give back

Giving back is the most
mature gesture of success.

Someone, before us, built the bridges we crossed. A school. A mentor. A region that placed its trust in us. Giving back is the choice to build the next bridge — for someone we have not met yet.

The manifesto

What we mean by giving back.

It is not charity, and it is not sponsorship. It is the voluntary return of part of what one has received — from the region, from people, from one's own time — expecting nothing in return. It is precisely the renunciation of exchange that gives the gesture its value: those who give back are not buying visibility, they are signing a sense of belonging.

It is a source of pride, before being a duty. In the places we have visited — from Silicon Valley campuses to Chinese universities — successful people consider it natural to give back: funding a scholarship, opening their company's doors, dedicating time to those who are starting out. We want this culture to become normal here too: the region's best companies are already doing it.

It is a pact between generations. The first bridge the Foundation wants to build is the one between those who decide today and those who will live tomorrow. That is why university students on scholarships travel in our international delegations, sitting next to entrepreneurs and managers: the most concrete way of giving back is taking someone with you.

“We do not support the Foundation because we expect something in return. We do it because we want to give back part of what we have received in life. That is the only way society moves forward — leaving no one behind.”

— Giancarlo De Leonardo, President of the Foundation
